CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the party’s office-bearers and people’s representatives to compulsorily enroll their children in public schools from now onward.
Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Thursday, Dahal revealed that after the central committee meeting that concluded recently, he had gathered party leaders and the chiefs and deputy chiefs of 123 governments headed by the Maoist Center in Kathmandu and instructed them to send their children to public schools, according to News Agency Nepal.
"Recently, after the party's central committee meeting, we organized a gathering of party leaders and 123 chiefs and deputy chiefs of governments under the Maoist Center's leadership in Kathmandu and made a decision, which is being implemented," he said. "It has been decided that all local government leaders and local party leaders must educate their children in public schools—not in private institutions or abroad. I am the top leader of the party, the chairman of the Maoist Center. None of my own children have gone abroad to study.”
Dahal said that after holding discussions at the party center, they have decided that all leaders should now enroll their children in public schools and not send them abroad.
