NC takes Bhaktapur-1(A) from ruling CPN

The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has taken the provincial assembly constituency of Bhaktapur-1(A) from ruling CPN.
NC candidate Krishna Lal Bhandel has won with 13,449 votes with Devi Prasad Dhakal of CPN coming second with 11,206. Niraj Lavaju of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party got 5,029. The final result, however, has yet to be officially announced.
NC had formed electoral alliance with RPP (Sanyukta) in the constituency.
