CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba of blatantly lying on the issue of Indian map.
Addressing an election rally in Pokhara, where Deuba on Sunday had claimed that India issued the new map after consulting Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli, Dahal pointed that Deuba lied in Pokhara that day. "Victory of Bidya Bhattarai in Kaski 2 has been guaranteed after his lying," he stated.
He called Deuba's blatant lies shameful and stressed that the party of Girija Prasad Koirala should not stoop so low. "I suggest that the party of Koirala should not resort to lying and dishonesty. Why try to make it night during broad daylight? Why does Sher Bahadur Deuba such silly things?" he asked.
He reminisced about signing the comprehensive peace agreement with Koirala and added he felt really concerned that the party of Koirala has now resorted to lying and dishonesty. He pointed that the main opposition party is on a downward spiral and added that the party will be consigned to history if the leaders continue to do so.
Deuba has continued diatribe against PM Oli this week. He claimed in Pokhara on Sunday that India issued the new map after consulting PM Oli, and pointed that Oli is submissive to India the next day.
"Oli is being submissive on Kalapani. Oli is, therefore, not a nationalist," Deuba said addressing an election rally for provincial assembly seat of Dang 3(B) on Monday.
Deuba on Tuesday then claimed that India has treated Nepal like Pakistan by issuing the map including parts of Nepal.
"India's behavior has showed as if Nepal and Pakistan are same," Deuba told media persons at the Biratnagar Airport en route to Dharan for by-election. "India first printed Kashmir's map and then that of India including Nepali land. This Indian behavior shows that Nepal and Pakistan are same."
Deuba asked why India has printed the map including disputed parts of Kalapani and Susta to treat Nepal like Pakistan.
