CPN standing committee member and Chief Minister (CM) of Province 5 Shankar Pokharel has claimed that chief advisor to the prime minister (PM) Bishnu Rimal will not be fired.
There have been reports that PM KP Sharma Oli has recently sought resignation of all the members of his secretariat. There have been rumors that Rimal will be replaced by Pokharel, a confidant of Oli.
Some members of the secretariat have resigned since but Rimal has stayed put. And now Pokharel has refuted the reports about Rimal's firing.
"Comrade Bishnu Rimal is a trustworthy charioteer of the PM's 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis' campaign. Change of chief advisor will prove to be rumors," Pokharel posted on Facebook.
