Bangladeshi President Mohammad Abdul Hamid has arrived for a four-day visit of Nepal on invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Tuesday.
President Bhandari welcomed her Bangladeshi counterpart at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the afternoon. Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of the National Assembly Ganesh Timilsina, and others also reached the TIA to welcome Hamid who has arrived leading a 52-strong delegation.
Hamid will meet President Bhandari and PM Oli during his four-day stay in Nepal. Vice-president Pun, Chairperson of the National Assembly Timilsina, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress (President) Sher Bahadur Deuba will also meet the Bangladeshi president.
Hamid will return on Friday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping had visited Nepal on October 12.
