CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he wishes to launch another movement.
"We are at the autumn of our life. I wish for another movement for the objective of socialism and to make this party like a communist party," Dahal said addressing a tea party organized by the party in Chitwan on Thursday. "I hope you will be with me for this great cause. We will win as well. We can provide example of how counter-revolution can be stopped."
He opined that the leaders and party alike have gathered dust now. "We can do this if we strongly vow to work again for the country and the people. We have just gathered some dust now," he stressed. "We have not been rendered useless by cancer. I am not saying we have incurable cancer. It may just be gastric or ulcer, but not cancer. That can be treated and we must treat in time. We are reviewing it from above," he elaborated.
He also said communist leaders suffer from amnesia when they reach government and forget their responsibilities. "There is a disease for communists across the world. They forget their ideals, objectives, and people's sufferings when they reach government, and there have been counter-revolutions," he added.
