Nepal and China have signed on 18 memoranda of understanding (MoU) and two letters of exchange (LoE) on Sunday.
The MoUs and LoEs regarding partnership with government bodies including the Ministries of Home, Foreign Affairs, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Agriculture and Livestock Development, Industry, Commerce and Supply and the Kathmandu metropolis have been signed in presence of Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli and visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping following delegation level bilateral talks.
Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, and other Nepali and Chinese officials exchanged the MoUs and LoEs.
The subjects of MoUs and LoEs include feasibility study of Kathmandu-Kerung railways, construction of tunnel way at Tokha-Chhahare, and Betravati and Syafrubesi among others.
