Chinese President Xi Jinping visited President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the President's Office in Sheetal Niwas Saturday evening.
Bilateral talks between the two countries were held during the visit. The meeting between the two leaders focused on various aspects and dimensions of Nepal-China relations.
President Xi is on a two-day state visit to Nepal at the invitation of President Bhandari. Xi landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at around 4:30 Saturday afternoon on an Air China plane. President Bhandari, Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli and other dignitaries welcomed Xi at the airport.
He was given guard of honor at the TIA by a Nepal Army unit.
Xi is the first Chinese president to visit Nepal after Jiang Zemin in 1996.
