Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has urged the people to inform the government on seeing helpless people on the streets.
Speaking after laying foundation stone for the minister quarter at Bhainsepati, Lalitpur on Monday, he claimed that the government will make proper arrangements for the helpless citizens.
"Do inform if you see any helpless people staying on the streets. The country will soon be declared beggar-free," Oli announced.
Complaining that the development works the government has carried out have not been talked about, he expressed displeasure accusing some are spreading hopelessness stating nothing is being done in the country. "There is a series of just slamming the government making non-issues an issue," he rued.
He cited the recently completed Motihari-Amlekhgunj Pipeline and claimed that the government has prioritized development. He conceded that work of Melamchi water supply project has been delayed a bit after the contractor absconded but assured that it will be completed soon.
