Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has claimed that the ruling CPN has not leaned toward any side in principles.
Answering queries about training of CPN leaders by those of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Kathmandu a few days ago, he claimed that CPN is treading its own course. "CPN is in the path of CPN and has not swung to any side," Baskota said during the weekly press conference on Thursday to announce Cabinet decisions. "Some are very rattled. I see even the leaders are confused."
He pointed that everyone knows CPN believes in Marxism and Leninism.
The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has been accusing the ruling party of moving toward Xi Jinping thought. "Where should CPN lean toward? CPN is going toward CPN only," he quipped.
He also added that Nepali people are eager to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping in Nepal. "It is a possible visit. People are eager to welcome," he stated.
