Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwore Pokharel has confirmed that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Nepal.
He confirm the visit of Chinese president that has been talked about in recent times while addressing a program at his constituency in Jhor of Budhanilkantha on Thursday.
He claimed that Nepal will sign an official agreement with China to build a road including tunnel from Jhor to Nuwakot via Gurjebhanjyang to connect Kathmandu with Keyrung during Xi's visit.
Xi is scheduled to visit India on October 11. He is expected to come to Nepal while returning home after completing India visit.
Xiang Jemin was the last Chinese president to visit Nepal in 1996. There has been no Nepal visit of Chinese president after that. The then Chinese premier Wen Jiabao had visited Nepal in 2012.
