Three CPN cadres arrested for assault on NC Banke President Koirala

Three CPN cadres have been arrested for assaulting Nepali Congress (NC) Banke President Kiran Koirala during the second round of party's awareness campaign on Thursday. Locals CPN leader Lok Bahadur Shahi, and cadres Nirmal Khatri and Roshan Singh Thakuri have been arrested Thursday night following official complaint by Koirala. The CPN cadres had attacked Koirala and other cadres during the party's program held at the Red Cross Hall in the afternoon. Koirala's hand was broken due to the assault. Banke Police said the three have been arrested and will be punished in accordance to the law if their involvement is established.
