CPN secretariat member Bam Dev Gautam is down with fever.
Gautam had gone to the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku on Monday after being down with fever for a few days. Doctors have suspected dengue but the test reports have yet to arrive.
He is currently taking rest at his residence in Bhainsepati under supervision of doctors, according to sources close to him.
Six persons have died and over 4,000 have been taken ill due to dengue across the country in the past few months.
Agriculture Minister Chakrapani Khanal, senior eye surgeon and founder of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology Dr Sanduk Ruit, and provincial assembly member of Gandaki from Nepali Congress Prakash Chandra Dawadi are among the high-profile persons who have contracted dengue.
