Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali has stated that abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution is India's internal matter.
Speaking to the Indian media during his Maldives visit to participate in the Indian Ocean Conference, Gyawali said abrogation of the Article 370 is internal matter of India and Nepal cannot comment on that.
"It is the matter of Indian constitution. They can change it if they so wish. We don't want to comment on that," he stated.
He claimed that the government is closely watching the issue of security of Nepalis in Kashmir and claimed they are safe.
He added that Nepal as chair of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation advises both India and Pakistan to resolve their disputes through dialogue. He stressed that war is not the solution and urged that everybody should discourage that.
