The school department of ruling CPN has started work after finally getting its chief following longstanding differences among the leaders.
"We are collecting names of the comrades who want to become member of the department now," deputy chief of the department Devendra Paudel said. "We will start to make curriculum once the department gets a full shape." He revealed that classes will start once the curriculum is prepared.
The department currently only has chief in Ishwore Pokharel and his deputies in Paudel and Beduram Bhuasal. Every party department has 35 members, according to the party statute.
"We will also look at competence of the comrades along with their wishes while selecting the members for the department," Bhusal said.
The department prepares curriculum, and trainers and experts to conduct classes in accordance to the party's principles, policies and programs, and conducts training programs for the cadres.
The department will have a job in its hands to train the cadres who have come from two separate parties with different schooling.
The party's political document has kept socialism-oriented people's democracy as the party's ideology incorporating the people's multiparty democracy of the then CPN-UML and the people's democracy for the 21
st century of the then CPN (Maoist Center).
The department will have to prepare the curriculum and conduct training programs accordingly.
