The central committee meeting of the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) called for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed for Thursday after senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel took ill.
NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma told Setopati that the meeting was scheduled to discuss about the party's sister organizations. "The meeting has been postponed for Thursday after senior leader Paudel took ill," he added.
The party was mainly expected to discuss the convention of its student wing Nepal Students Union (NSU) during the meeting. The meeting was also set to discuss the second round of awareness campaign that is scheduled to start on September 11.
It has already prepared guidelines through consensus to take the party into a federal structure.
