Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has conducted the cabinet meeting via video conferencing from Singapore Monday afternoon.
Chief political advisor to the PM Bishnu Rimal, who has accompanied Oli to Sigapore, has tweeted pictures of the cabinet meeting conducted through video conferencing.
The cabinet meeting last week had amended the regulations for operation of the government allowing convening of cabinet meeting through video conferencing or other means of information technology when the PM is in a domestic or foreign visit.
The regulation was amended to ensure that important works are not affected in lack of cabinet meeting when the PM is in Singapore for treatment.
Cabinet meetings earlier could be convened in absence of the PM only in emergency situations.
