The personal secretariat of CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has refuted reports that there is Rs 21 billion in a Dubai bank in the name of Dahal's deceased son Prakash.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, Dahal's personal secretary Jokh Bahadur Mahara has called reports that Dahal went to Dubai recently for management of the amount in the name of his deceased son fabricated and conspiratorial, and demanded action against those involved in such smear campaign.
"Our secretariat strongly condemns and refutes the propaganda that there is Rs 21 billion in a Dubai bank in the name of deceased comrade Prakash Dahal, and Chairman Dahal went to Dubai for management of that amount," the statement reads. "We challenge to prove that late Prakash has bank account and money in any foreign country."
