CPN protests arrest of person charged of abduction and murder of four-year-old boy

The ruling CPN has protested arrest of Nasim Khan (Javed Badshah) involved in over half a dozen crimes including abduction and murder of a boy.

CPN Kapilvastu has issued a press statement protesting the arrest of Khan on Saturday. Chairman of CPN Kapilvastu Jhabi Lal Pokharel and Secretary Ram Chandra Sah have jointly issued a statement demanding release of Khan. The statement calls sudden arrest of Khan at a time when the cases lodged against him were withdrawn after political consensus unfortunate.

Eight cases are registered against Khan including abduction and murder of a four-year-old boy of Maya Devi rural municipality 4. Seven of the cases are related to premeditated murder and one about robbery.

Khan has been charged of murdering son of Dharma Raj Barai of Phulika-3, Kapilvastu on June 2, 2006. Police claim that he was absconding after murder of four-year-old Mohammad Aheman following abduction on February 15, 2018.

He was involved in criminal activities and using the government's call to the armed groups for dialogue. He became public after handing over the weapons to the state after dialogue but had again gone underground and started to stay across the border in India after widespread criticism of amnesty for murders of individuals.

He was seen with Agriculture Minister Chakra Pani Khanal and CDO of Kapilvastu Arjun Prasad Pokharel in a program in the district near the Indian border on December 18, 2018 but the police could not arrest him.

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Khan, who was in the most wanted list, from Sinamangal, Kathmandu Saturday morning.
