CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has returned home on Thursday after treatment of his wife Sita Dahal in America.
Speaking with reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on his arrival, Dahal said he took his wife to a world-class hospitals as his wife is suffering from a strange disease.
"We returned back after three hospitals there confirmed the diagnosis of the doctors in Singapore and the doctors there said there is no need for further tests," he revealed.
Dahal had left for America on March 17. Daughter Ganga and a nurse, who is caring for Sita, also accompannied the Dahal couple for the trip.
Sita has diabetes, hypertension and thyroid problems. Her health deteriorated after death of the only son Prakash Dahal in November 2017.
Sita was taken to Singapore for treatment toward the end of 2018 after tests at different hospitals in Nepal could not diagnose her ailment. She was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy there.
Dahal had taken her to the Tatopani pond in Myagdi for water therapy in November 2018.
