Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is finished.
Addressing the first meeting of the party's Province 3 committee on Thursday Oli, who is chairman of the ruling CPN, claimed that NC has been supporting those who want to topple the communist government and monarchists.
"They plot to topple the communist government. They don't have any problem if monarchy returns. You must have heard Congress is supporting them," Oli stated. "Pity Congress! Congress had an epic fall like that from 99 to 2 in the game of snakes and ladders."
He claimed that ideology of the democratic party has also deteriorated. "There is already a fall in ideology. Congress should at least have been democratic in principle," he said.
He also took a swipe on Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN. "One cannot even dream about capturing the state through violence," he opined and added that those involved in violent and destructive activities in the guise of communists will be punished in accordance to the law.
