Govt to issue 35-day notice for submitting illegal arms

The government will issue a notice to the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN to hand over all the illegal arms. A 35-day notice will be issued urging the party to hand over the weapons even as its cadres are being arrested with illegal arms from different parts of the country. Government Spokesperson Gokul Baskota said the decision to that regard was taken during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday during the weekly press conference on Thursday. He said those submitting the weapons within the deadline will not be punished for keeping those arms illegally. That Cabinet meeting had also decided to ban activities of the Chand-led party.
