President administers oath to three ambassadors

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to three newly-appointed ambassadors this morning. At a special function in the President House, President Bhandari administered oath of office to Amrit Bahadur Rai, Nepal's Permanent Representative to Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations and other International Organizations in New York, USA. Likewise, Nepal's Permanent Representative to Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, Mani Prasad Bhattarai was also administered oath of office. Also on the occasion, Nepal's Ambassador to Israel Anjan Shakya took oath of office and secrecy from the President. Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi, and high-level officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others were present on the occasion.
