Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli will address the House of Representatives (HoR) Thursday afternoon.
PM Oli will speak about the government’s works and contemporary issues including the alleged irregularities in procurement of wide-body planes by the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), according to his press advisor Kundan Aryal.
The subcommittee formed by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament to probe procurement of two wide-body planes has concluded that Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari was complicit in corruption of Rs 4.3556 billion during the procurement process.
The sub-committee also found moral responsibility of his predecessors Jitendra Narayan Dev and Jeevan Bahadur Shahi in the case.
“PM Oli wants the procurement of wide-body planes investigated right from the beginning. He will put his opinions on that during today’s address,” Aryal said.
This is the first time PM Oli will be addressing the winter session of the parliament that started on December 26.
