The standing committee meeting of ruling CPN has unanimously endorsed the political report of chairman including suggestions of members.
Standing committee member Raghuji Panta told Setopati that the report will be amended as per the suggestions of members. "We have decided to amend the report and present it to the secretariat," Panta said.
Secretariat member Bam Dev Gautam and other standing committee members had refused to endorse the report when Chairman KP Sharma Oli called for endorsement Thursday evening itself stating that Oli and another Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have not provided satisfactory answers to the questions raised by the members.
Oli had proposed for endorsement of the report stating that issues like 'there is not enough salt and turmeric' will be incorporated. But the members refused to endorse it stating that the two chairmen have not accepted weaknesses and have not self-criticized.
Leader Gautam wanted to put his concept of one individual, one position as a different opinion.
Panta revealed that the two chairmen again addressed the meeting on Friday. The meeting has also taken a decision to end organizational unification by mid-January. It had formed an eight-member task force under General Secretary Bishnu Paudel to provide suggestions for organizational unification.
