The government has recommended five ambassadors.
Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Baskota, holding the weekly press conference to reveal the Cabinet decisions, said the Cabinet has recommended Chief of Protocol at the Foreign Ministry Joint Secretary Deepak Adhikari for the post of ambassador to France, Joint Secretary Durga Prasad Bhandari to Kuwait, Joint Secretary Bhrigu Dhungana to Canada, Joint Secretary Mani Prasad Bhattarai to the UN and Joint Secretary Ganesh Prasad Dhakal to Thailand.
The proposed ambassadors will be appointed by President Bidya Devi Bhandari if they are endorsed after a parliamentary hearing.
The government, similarly, has recalled ambassadors Chop Lal Bhusal (Bangladesh), Arjun Jung Bahadur Singh (South Africa) and Bharat Bahadur Rayamajhi (Spain) giving them three weeks to return to Nepal.
