The government has started the process of operating the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) in company model.
Speaking in a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament on Wednesday, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari said the ministry has already started the necessary work that needs to be done before taking the NAC into company model.
He revealed that the ministry has already decided to do due diligence audit of NAC before taking it into company model. "There should not be any delay in taking it to company model to search for strategic partner. We have already decided for due diligence audit," Minister Adhikari told the PAC. He added that the share structure will be decided after due diligence audit.
He stated that the decision to whether to bring strategic partner or investors will be taken after turning NAC into company.
