Gandaki Province CM inspects Annapurna Base Camp

Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung Friday conducted a field inspection of the Annapurna Base Camp. The CM's inspection is part of his inquire about environmental concern of the area, and issues involving tourism. After the survey, CM Gurung said the government prioritizes the conservation and development of the area. On the occasion, Chairperson of the Annapurna Rural Municipality Yubraj Kunwar apprised him of efforts initiated by the Rural Municipality to conserve the area. Jagan Bahadur Gurung, Vice Chairperson of the local Chhomorang Tourism Entrepreneur Committee, stressed the need for supplying electricity to the Base Camp so as to attract tourists.
