Govt will now aim for popularity: Dahal

Chairman of ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed the government will now do works to become popular in the eyes of people. "There have been historic developments in relationship with neighbors after this government took charge. Preparations for big infrastructure for national interest have also been made," Dahal told media persons in Biratnagar Monday morning. "We apparently don't become popular by doing such works. We will now start to fill potholes. The people will then start to say there is no alternative to this government. Its popularity will rise," he explained. He added that there is no chance of immediate changes in the Cabinet. Conceding that there has been delay in concluding party unification, he attributed the delay to working with a long-term plan. "We are trying to resolve everything now to ensure there are no problems in future," he claimed. "We will conclude it in a way that there are no future problems."
