Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Navin Kumar Ghimire has said that there will be no political color in the anti-corruption actions of the CIAA.
At an interaction program organized by Civil Society for Good Governance, Kaski on Thursday, the Chief Commissioner said that whoever indulged in corruption would be brought to book. Saying that there was no governmental and political pressure on CIAA, Ghimire vowed the anti-graft body’s activities in accordance with its jurisdiction in corruption control.
He was of the view that the trend of holding the contract of the construction bids for long and delaying the projects’ completion would be brought under the CIAA scanner. Ghimire also shared that the projects of the national pride would be regularly monitored and the CIAA would continue its mission to curb corruption in such projects.
