Govt serious about maintaining peace, security: Province 1 Law Minister

Minister of Province 1 for Internal Affairs and Law Hikmat Kumar Karki Thursday said the provincial government was serious about maintaining peace and security. "Anyone found involved in crimes will be brought to justice," he said while responding to queries raised by Province Assembly members in Province Assembly meeting. Informing that preparations were underway to distribute relief those facing the brunt of dry spells from hilly districts within the province, he said the location and name for the capital of Province 1 would be announced soon. Earlier, during the zero hour, Province Assembly member Jayaram Yadav had demanded that Biratnagar be made the capital of the province. The Province Assembly will next meet at 1 pm on October 7.
