Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on Friday said that direct Nepalgunj-New Delhi flight will be launched within four months.
Responding to the questions in the federal parliament, Minister Rabindra Adhikari said that the direct flight from Nepalgunj-New Delhi will be launched within four months stating that the southern neighbor already agreed to provide additional air routes to Nepal.
Last week, India had agreed to provide the additional entry routes for planes from Janakpur, Birgunj, Nepalgunj and Mahendranagar.
Minister Adhikari conceded that Nepal, that failed to receive any routes in lack of technical-level discussion since a long time, was finally permitted additional entry routes due to the government's effort.
He said that the required infrastructures will be constructed in the airport within three months. Minister Adhikari further said that Buddha Air has already begun the process of taking permission for the international flight from Nepalgunj to Delhi.
