Authorities issue safety alert as Tinau water level rises

Butwal, Sept 25

The water level in the Tinau River in Butwal has risen due to incessant rainfall.

The Flood Forecasting Division said that the river’s water level has increased and continues to rise.

Following the rise in the river level, the local administration has urged residents living near the river to move to safer locations.

Although the flooding has not caused any damage so far, authorities have advised residents in riverside areas to remain in safe places as the water level continues to rise.

Police are making announcements through loudspeakers and urging residents of settlements at risk from the river to move to safer locations.
