Landslides block Butwal-Palpa road

The Butwal-Palpa road has been obstructed following landslides triggered by continuous rainfall.

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, a landslide occurred near the Siddhababa Temple in Tinau Rural Municipality-3 along the Siddhartha Highway, blocking the road.

Police said that vehicular movement has been disrupted since Friday morning after debris fell onto the road from the hillside above.

Similarly, a landslide has occurred between Charghare and Jordhara in Tinau Rural Municipality-5, with debris falling onto the road from above.

A landslide has also blocked the local road section from Batase in Ribdikot Rural Municipality-5 toward Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality.
