Six bodies have been recovered from a tunnel inside the Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa.
The Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army said that the bodies were found on Friday during a search inside the project. They were discovered trapped behind a steel reinforcement mesh prepared for concrete work inside an audit tunnel.
The six bodies were extracted using a grinder, gas cutter, and rotary rescue equipment.
The Nepal Army said that there could still be more bodies inside the tunnel.
The army is continuing its search after observing shapes resembling bodies covered in mud.
