Bodies have been found inside the powerhouse of the Chilime Hydropower Project in Rasuwa.
According to Baburaja Maharjan, the project’s managing director, rescue workers have reported finding three bodies so far.
“I am also at the project site. I have just received information that three bodies have been found,” he said.
Six employees working at the project’s powerhouse and gate have been missing. They were suspected to have been trapped inside the facility.
A joint team of the Nepali Army and Armed Police Force (APF) has been deployed at the site. APF joint spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Thapa said that one body had been recovered and rescuers were working to retrieve the others.
