Businessman Pasang Lama, who is based in the United States, has contributed Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rescue efforts for people affected by the recent Bhotekoshi-Trishuli flood.
Lama made the contribution through the Lama Foundation.
In a Facebook post, Lama said that he had sent the amount to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund because it is secure.
He also urged others to contribute through the same fund.
Lama, who has been living in the United States for the past 30 years, is involved in several businesses there, including gas station wholesale grocery stores.
