Janata Television Chairman Paudel detained in check-bounce case

Police have taken Janata Television Chairman Bijay Prasad Paudel into custody.

According to Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Paudel was detained by police from the television station’s office in Baneshwar on Thursday.

According to SP Thapa, Paudel was detained in connection with a check-bounce case.

He is accused of failing to pay money owed to former employees, with a check issued for the payment subsequently bouncing.
