A three-year-old girl has been murdered after being raped in Bara district.
Garima Chaudhary, a three-year-old girl from Dasdhuri, Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City-1, who had been missing since Sunday, was found murdered after being raped.
According to Superintendent of Police Narendra Kunwar, chief of the District Police Office, Bara, the girl’s body was found in a room of a vacant house belonging to Bir Bahadur Roka in Bhaktinagar, Jitpur Simara-1.
“When police went to check after a foul smell emanated from the uninhabited house, a girl was found dead. It was confirmed that the deceased girl was Garima herself,” he said.
SP Kunwar said that the investigation established that the girl had been killed after being raped.
He said that a suspect was arrested about two hours after the body was discovered.
The arrested suspect is a 16-year-old boy from Jitpur Simara-2. He is the co-driver of a Magic van bearing registration number Na 1 Ja 7758. Police said that he has admitted his involvement in the incident.
Police have also arrested 24-year-old Progress Chaudhary of Jitpur Simara-1, the owner of the same vehicle, for investigation.
The investigation revealed that the girl had gone to play at a neighbor’s house when the teenager allegedly lured her away, raped her, and killed her.
