Missing former Kapilvastu mayor Kiran Singh found dead after three days

Former Kapilvastu mayor Kiran Singh, who had been missing for three days, has been found dead.

According to Superintendent of Police Manohar Prasad Bhatta of the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, Singh’s body was found around noon on Sunday.

“His body was found a short while ago,” Bhatta said. “We are investigating the incident.”

Singh, 65, had been missing since Friday afternoon.

He had contacted a business partner on Friday, saying he had lost his way.

SP Bhatta said that Singh’s body was found in the same area from where he had contacted his business partner.

Singh was elected mayor of Kapilvastu Municipality from the Nepali Congress in 2017.
