Curfew reimposed in Sunsari's highway areas following violent protests

As protests continue at various locations along the East-West Highway, the curfew that was lifted from around the highway in Sunsari district on Tuesday morning has been reimposed.

Sunsari Chief District Officer Ishwar Prasad Aryal has issued a fresh curfew order for areas around the the highway, including district headquarters Inaruwa, from Pakali to Koshi Barrage.

The curfew imposed on Monday night had been lifted on Tuesday morning. However, as violent protests intensified along the highway, a curfew order was issued once again.

The curfew in Dewangunj and its surrounding areas has remained in effect since Monday morning.
