The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has disclosed the name of the person accused of leaking the question paper for the first semester of the Master of Business Studies (MBS) program under Tribhuvan University's Faculty of Management.
The CIB has identified the suspect as 33-year-old Sandeep Singh, originally from Ghodaghodi Municipality-11 in Kailali and currently residing in Madhyapur Thimi-1, Bhaktapur.
Police had taken a few people into custody for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the case. However, they were released after investigators found no evidence of their involvement.
The question paper for the postgraduate-level subject Organizational Behavior was leaked on social media just minutes after the examination began on July 24.
It was posted in a WhatsApp group named “MBS 1st Sem Section C” within five minutes of the start of the examination. The Facebook page “TU Students” had drawn Tribhuvan University's attention to the incident, stating that the question paper had been leaked on social media within minutes. The page also published screenshots of the WhatsApp group.
