The family of Ganesh Nepali, a resident of Soru Rural Municipality-1, Mugu, who attempted self-immolation outside the Department of Passports in Tripureshwar, has filed a complaint with the police.
On Monday, his elder brother, Madan Nepali, lodged a complaint alleging offenses relating to human body.
Superintendent of Police Pawan Bhattarai at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, confirmed that the complaint has already been registered.
"They have filed a complaint, and we have registered it. We will now conduct an investigation," he said.
On July 9, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police officers had placed a wheel lock on Nepali's motorcycle outside the Department of Passports. He subsequently attempted self-immolation on the road. He later died on Friday while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
Following his death, the government and his family reached a nine-point agreement on Sunday.
