Prime Minister Balen Shah, who also serves as the chancellor of universities, has appointed vice-chancellors to seven universities.
Prof Bhola Thapa has been appointed vice-chancellor of Tribhuvan University. He previously served as the vice-chancellor of Kathmandu University.
Prof Sujan Babu Marhatta has been appointed vice-chancellor of Purbanchal University, while Prof Devendra Adhikari has been appointed vice-chancellor of Pokhara University.
Similarly, Prof Rajan Suwal has been appointed vice-chancellor of Mid-West University, and Prof Kisan Datta Bhatta has been appointed vice-chancellor of Far Western University.
Furthermore, Prof Shyam Narayan Labh has been appointed vice-chancellor of Rajarshi Janak University and Prof Rishi Ram Kattel has been appointed vice-chancellor of Agriculture and Forestry University.
The appointments were announced by the secretariat of Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel, who also serves as the pro-chancellor of the universities.
The new vice-chancellors are expected to receive their appointment letters on Friday itself.
