The Special Court has extended the remand for defendants Deepak Bhatta and Sulav Agrawal, who were arrested in connection with a money laundering investigation.
In a hearing held on Monday, the court extended the remand by three days for each of them. This marks the eighth extension for Bhatta and the ninth for Agrawal.
A bench of Special Court Judges Narayan Prasad Paudel and Umesh Koirala issued the order allowing the extension of custody to continue the investigation.
Authorities said that the investigation into the case is still ongoing.
According to the administrative section, the necessary legal process will be moved forward based on the progress of the investigation.
