The government has decided to implement a two-day weekly holiday due to the difficulties in the supply of petroleum products.
Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel informed that Sunday’s Cabinet meeting decided to grant holidays on Saturdays and Sundays for government offices and educational institutions.
"Due to the unease caused by the petroleum supply situation, it has been decided to grant holidays on Saturdays and Sundays in government offices and all educational institutions, effective from April 6," he said while announcing the Cabinet's decisions.
According to him, the government has also decided to set office hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Furthermore, he shared that the upcoming academic session has been scheduled to begin on April 28.
