Prohibitory order issued in Birgunj

A prohibitory order has been imposed in Birgunj Metropolitan City of Parsa district.

The order came into effect from 1 p.m. on Monday and will remain in force across the Birgunj metropolitan area until further notice.

The restricted zone extends from the Bus Park in the east, Sirsiya Bridge in the west, Power House Chowk in the north, and Shankaracharya Gate in the south.

The order will remain effective until further instructions are issued. During this period, any kind of gathering, assembly, procession, or protest is prohibited.

Protests have been taking place in various parts of Madhesh province following reports of vandalism at a mosque in Dhanusha. Demonstrations were also held in Birgunj on Sunday. The administration has been urging the public to help maintain peace and security.
