The Supreme Court has ordered Durga Prasai, coordinators of the Rastra, Rastriyata, Dharma, Sanskriti Tatha Nagarik Bachau Maha Abhiyan, to be produced in court.
On Thursday, a bench of Justice Meghraj Pokharel issued an order requiring Prasai and other defendants to appear in court.
"A show cause order has been issued, and they have been directed to appear along with the detainee within 24 hours," Deputy Registrar Arjun Prasad Koirala said.
Prasai's son, Nirajan, had filed a habeas corpus writ petition on Wednesday.
Nirajan had named the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the chief district officer of District Administration Office, Kathmandu, the District Police Range, Kathmandu, and others as defendants.
Police had arrested Prasai from his residence in Bhaktapur at midnight on Monday based on statements he made. His bodyguard, Deepak Khadka, has also been arrested.
