A leopard has been rescued from inside the premises of the Swiss Embassy located in Mahalaxmi Municipality-13, Lalitpur.
The leopard was rescued from the embassy office around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
It is not known how or from where the leopard entered the embassy premises. Satyanarayan Sah, chief of the Central Zoo, said that the leopard was rescued and brought to the zoo.
“After receiving information that a leopard had entered the Swiss Embassy, a team from the zoo rescued and brought it,” Sah said.
He told Setopati that the leopard may have strayed from the forest after losing its way, but nothing can be said with certainty yet. A study is underway, he added.
According to Sah, the leopard was brought under control with the assistance of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, and the Division Forest Office.
