Six burnt bodies have been found at the Bhatbhateni supermarket in Chuchchepati, Kathmandu.
Smoke is still rising from the Bhatbhateni in Chuchchepati, where protestors set fire on September 9.
An officer from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, told Setopati that six burnt bodies were discovered on Sunday morning.
"Bodies have been found. It is not yet clear whether they are protestors, employees, or those involved in looting," the officer said.
The police suspect people may also have been burned in other Bhatbhateni outlets set ablaze in Kathmandu.
The officer also said that police personnel have been deployed to investigate the matter.
On September 9, protestors had set fire to most Bhatbhateni outlets in Kathmandu.
Even after the arson, people had entered these places for looting.
A few outlets were saved from arson by locals.
